Where IPTVBoss does well
It is a capable editor, and for some people it is the better pick:
- A real free version, not only a trial.
- It runs on your own computer or server, so the heavy work happens on your own hardware.
- Unlimited playlist sources, guide sources and layouts on every paid tier. The price grows with users only.
- A big built-in guide (EPG) library with auto-mapping on Pro.
- Apps for Windows, macOS and Linux.
If you like a desktop app and you are happy to host your lists yourself, it does that job well.

Can I move my IPTVBoss lists to M3UTool?
Yes. Add your provider login, or the M3U link of the list you host today. The names, groups, logos and guide ids in that list come with it.
Is there a free version like IPTVBoss Basic?
No. M3UTool has a 14-day free trial with every feature, no card. Plans start at €10 a year.
Does M3UTool run on a Mac?
Yes, in the browser, like on any computer or phone. Self-hosted M3UTool runs on Windows or Linux.
Does my computer have to stay on for updates?
No. M3UTool reads your provider about every four hours on its own servers and keeps your edits.
Can my users keep their player?
Yes. Any player that takes an M3U link or a login with server, username and password works, for example TiviMate, OTT Navigator or VLC.
